PROPOSED CHANGE OF USE OF AGRICULTURAL BUILDING TO FORM 4 NO. SMALL RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGHOUSES (USE CLASS C3) AND ASSOCIATED OPERATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING DEMOLITION OF DILAPIDATED FARM BUILDING. CLEAVERS FARM BARN, MILL LANE LAUGHTON, BN8 6AJ
Upper Dicker is an ancient village of 150 households surrounded by farmland and views of the South Downs. Wealden District Council is considering a proposal to build 2500 more houses on 300 acres of farmland through which the Cuckmere and it’s floodplain run at the edge of the village. We need to establish local people’s feelings about this proposed development as it will have far reaching effects not only on our ecosystem and the Cuckmere flood plain, but also on issues such as traffic, local tourism, and infrastructure. Please click here to connect to a very short survey on these issues. We would be really grateful for your thoughts and feedback. We want to establish a meaningful dialogue with WDC at this early stage to relay people’s true feeling to them before any decisions are made on the Local Plan. Please share this and encourage others to give their thoughts as soon as possible click here
